San Diego Police Seek Mira Mesa Sexual Assault Suspect – May Have Struck Again Friday


The San Diego Police Department is asking your assistance in finding a sexual assault suspect who has struck multiple times since September in a Mira Mesa neighborhood. According to posts on, the suspect may have struck again Friday evening.

The assailant has reportedly struck at least five times between September 1, 2016 and January 24, 2017. Police suspect there may be additional attacks that have not been reported.

The reported attacks have taken place on Mira Mesa Blvd near Greenford Dr., Hillery Dr. near Rickert Rd., and on Caminito Baywood in the Mesa Village condominium development. According to an unconfirmed report, a man matching the description of the suspect attacked a woman on Caminito Baywood at approximately 7 pm on Friday, February 10. Witnesses report that the suspect fled the scene after the victim’s screams attracted other residents.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5’1” to 5’5” tall, average build, late 20’s to late 30’s, with a bushy mustache. The suspect speaks Spanish and English with a Spanish accent. During some of the incidents the suspect was wearing a baseball cap with the logo “California Republic” which has a bear on the front.
