Halloween Surprise – City Council to Vote on End to Rec Council Funding; Councilmember Cate Hosts Press Conference

At 2:00 PM on Halloween, October 31, the San Diego City Council will vote on a measure to remove future funding from local Recreation Councils, and transfer existing funds to a City account managed by newly hired Park and Recreation staff members. The press conference will take place at the North Clairemont Recreation Center, 4421 Bannock Avenue, San Diego 92117. The announcement of the press conference can be found here

Residents are encouraged to attend the City Council session at 2:00 pm and sign a speaker slip to express their opinion on the changes.
